What's on my mind?

There's so much on my mind, Facebook What all should I write? You have space, I know To take in my rants But does everyone around have the time To read and comprehend What's on my mind? I have been trying- struggling To come to terms with What's best in me? What's best for me? What's in store for me? I have been trying- to stay calm But the humdrum in my fickle mind Refuses to die. The pen and the paper stare at me from the shelves of my cupboard I look away fearing it's a waste of time, Yet, my heart yearns to take them together and flow with the movements of one on the other. There's so much on my mind, Faceboook What all should I write? There are hundreds on my friend list, Not one to lend an ear, Everyone is moving along in their world, While I crib and cry.

That moment

That moment when I sit and wonder, Where am I headed? I struggle to come to a conclusion, I cry and whine at my inability To see the strength in me, All I can see is the pile of defeat The unsuccessful attempts The mismanaged life cycle The surmounting debts. That moment when I sit and contemplate How I should focus on the present And forget the future But, Alas! The future has Caught me in its web Entangled, and without a sign of freeing, I struggle to pull out of the web The intensity with which the web has woven itself around me makes me shudder. That moment when I sit and decide It's time to call it the end of the road No, there hasn't been a speck of Light at the end of this dark road I tried, I struggled, I fought, I caught But I failed, Failed quite miserably. I fear, I fear the society, I fear the people I love, I fear my own self, I guess it is THAT MOMENT When I should quit...

A world of my own

I want to close my eyes and slip into a world of my own, where there'd be no war of words, no ego clashes or street fights no hurry to finish tasks no one to bother with a stick on the head. I want to be in a world of my own with a space only for positive thoughts with no space for lousy creatures and selfish souls a world that'd thrive on love, care, and human touch where there'd be no mobile phones or social network. I am looking for that world wherein I would be myself than pretend I would laugh till my stomach hurt I would love with all my heart n soul I would not be in my dreams but seep in the reality. What is love?

What is love? A silent way to silence your inner self A turbulence in your peaceful mind A crack that's tough to mend An affair that leaves you sleepless A rose that pretends to have fragrance A flower that dries up before it blossoms An ache that's too painful to undergo medication A blind passion that turns you deaf and dumb Love is nothing but a mere infatuation Too hard to ignore, harder to hold on to Love is a feeling that disappears as suddenly as it had appeared Like a gas balloon left loose Love is meant to be a passionate endeavor An enchanting experience in the mundane lives It is nothing but a glass that cracks in one touch a thorn that pricks deep inside a fire that burns you down never to revive a void that you cannot avoid a memory that's etched too deep a lesson that life reminds you every single day that you lead...

The Wintry Night

Image
Source The night that was so wintry The cold breeze brushed aside my hair I looked around and saw a few Comforting each other With an embrace that I longed for Then and there from you From your body, your warmth I tried embracing myself alone Tears welled up in my eyes Noticing a bystander staring at me I pretended to feel cold The bystander smiled as if He understood what I faked Putting his palm out in the cold air He turned around, and walked Taking out his white walking stick A woman walked past and held his hand I stood their watching as the two Embraced in the comfort of that night I stood their watching as the two Disappeared into the dark wintry night.

Darkness

Darkness, you're amazing You let people do Whatever they want Whatever they couldn't In the presence of light.. You let them cry and whine You let them love and moan You let them argue and abuse You let them hurt and scream You let them shy and meek... You fill the void in them You let them be themselves It's in your shadows They find their real selves And, hence draw the curtains As light makes way for itself.

Poetry Trails: #5 Trace my heart

Image
Hi Friends, This is the fifth poem in the series Poetry Trails. Hope you'll like reading it. This would also be the last poem in this series. The poems shall come back soon again. :-) Source In the contours of my heart You lie like a king I yearn for your presence  In the world around I stretch my arms around To hold you in embrace You seem running away  From the mere stretch of my arms I haven't even said that  I want to take you with me I hoped that you'd do that for me But, as I stand here miles away I see you hold her hand and run away You giggle as she teases you  You hold her tight as if to never let go She tries to move away but you pull her closer Oblivious of my presence miles away You make love to her in the lap of nature I stand there with my heart broken I turn away unable to see your passionate love I wonder what did I do to deserve such hapless love.. Poetry Trails: #4 Hard Rock Life

Image
Hi Friends,  This is the fourth poem in the series- Poetry Trails. This post was initially supposed to be posted on my friend's blog. But due to urgent circumstances, she hasn't been able to do it. From hereon, the Poetry Trails will be published on Indelible Musings. Once my friend is a little less occupied from her paper works and studies, we shall continue altering between her and my blog. Till then, Happy Reading!  Source It has all been so hard till now, Hard as a rock, tough to break, I try to move away from the hard life But the life that I thought as hard rock is actually like a magnetic pull That's pulling me close to itself, That doesn't let me realise my true potential, Or actually it does,  But I choose to ignore, I choose to see that any rock as big as it may be as hard as it may be is susceptible to pressure So, I just need to push, Push as high and deep  as I can, So that the rock breaks into pieces...

Poetry Trails: #3 'Fall' Out of Love

Image
Hi Friends, This is the third poem in the series- Poetry Trails- that's started by me and another friend. The link to the previous two poems have been given at the end of the post. Hope you like this too. Happy Reading! Source We fell out of love  There was nothing we could do We tried, we discussed, we met Yet we couldn't rekindle the romance What was missing? We did not know  Was it the love? Or the embrace?  Was it us sitting side by side or lying next to each other?  Was it looking eye to eye or holding hands tight?  Was it what we call ‘few minutes of bliss’  or the pursuit for an effortless connect? There was something missing. Sometimes it was you,  And other times, it was me we were always missing,  from each other’s lives and hence we were missing the life  that delightfully happened around us I longed for a long night talk,  You took too long to melt the rock,  You though...

Spread your wings

Image
Source When things look bleak Take a deep breath Hold your head high Aim to see the sky To see it like never before To see it like the universe is all about you See the good, the high, the bad, the fall But, burn the fall and rise from the ashes Like a phoenix Aim to make it work like never before Imagine your dreams take a real shape A shape that you desire not how others want it to be Dream, create, produce Let your thoughts become things...

Poetry Trails: #1 Stars and I

Hi Friends, A dear friend of mine had posted the following lines (in italics) on her Facebook status. She loves to write, and more so when it's poetry. There was something that made me write further down those lines. The result- the following poem as you can see. Thus, we both decided that we would blog together about love and positivity on her blog like this. We are calling it "Poetry Trails" wherein, either of us will begin and continue from there on. Hope all of you will like our small gesture in spreading happiness around. By the way, that dear friend of mine is also a brilliant blogger, and you can read her blogs here- "Pretty Mornings" I look at the stars,  and they look back at me.  We do the same thing every night.  There is something about being silent, and looking at each other, They don’t judge, I don’t question them for  being too bright or too dull either,  The silence between us is comforting They let me ponder and think ov...

How They Loved

Holding hands, Walking side by side, They strolled on the path That led nowhere. Clutching the hands tight, Shoulders touching, Her laughter could be heard Here, there, everywhere. They walked and talked, Their bodies swayed To the rhythm of waves Oblivious of the worldly space. She smiled with her head tilted on his shoulders He held her firmly His arms spoke of his support. Looking into each other's eyes They embraced in nature's lap Oblivious of the worldly space Their love blossomed.

Crossroads

At the threshold of something ominous holding on to the naive dig deep down you'll find the true meaning of life... It isn't your life  that is at the crossroad It is your mind   that refuses to de-clutter thoughts that have formed a cobweb of dreams... Dreams that remain  unfulfilled.. Dreams that remain in the nook of heart.. Dreams that remain like cracks in the glass ready to break into pieces never to be found again... No they aren't lost They are just scattered here and there, everywhere, Dreams that remain omnipresent yet so far... As you dig deep down searching for your dreams clearing away the cobwebs You are at crossroads yet again with neither here nor there to go... Like what you read here? So They Say...

So they say, quit and sit back, it isn't your day; I say then when will it be if not today? Shedding all inhibitions, I embark on a new road. I walk two miles, only to witness a giant rock blocking my way; So they say, it's time you tread on the return path. I refuse to look back, climbing the rocky terrain, beads of sweat trickle down my forehead, I keep up with the pace, a thorn pierces the skin on my toe, So they say, it's time for me to abandon all that I had begun. Abandon was a word, I had never heard before, fighting back with zeal, was always what I was told, Yet they said, gone is your time, so is your luck, so is your chance, Why hold on to things that you shall never pass?

Barren Love

Image
Source I look for the words that I once wrote to describe you, Have they dried away just like our love? Or have they interspersed in our fragmented lives? Our love isn't barren, it is unsettled by the surroundings, Soak in the feelings of a passionate kiss, The untidy bed is a testimony to our passionate love, Our love isn't barren, it is irked by the uneasiness, Soak in the mighty breeze that ruffles your hair, Your unkempt look is a testimony to our passionate love, You are indomitable, you are fearless, yet you presume our love as dead and buried, When I can envisage the road we have often taken, Sometimes whole-heartedly, sometimes half-heartedly, The road less taken is the road that leads to fear, Be what you are, what your soul is, what your mind is, If your mind refuses to budge, then admit it, Our love is barren, blind to the darkness around,  oblivious of the passionate love, Envious of the unkempt look,  suspicious of the u...

Unmasked

There are 'people' everywhere around  Some generous, Some miserly Some extrovert, Some introvert,  But they are everywhere around,  from where you stand. Then, there are people who do good, They will do anything to make you smile, They will fetch you brownies from your favorite patisserie, They will send you flowers from far across, They will shower you with gifts that you love, They will be by your side through thick and thin, They will be on their toes to help you win. Then, there are people who would 'act' to do good, Donning the hat of being most effervescent, They will make you feel that you are better than the rest, Behind your back,  They will hatch every conspiracy at their best, They will laugh with you at others, Behind your back,  They will make your life worse than others, Cheery, Smiling, Cracking jokes, Going out for smoke, They would do it all, like you are partners in crime,  Behind you...

Keep Calm and Stay Positive - Day 17

The following poem has been inspired from a book that am currently reading: Success- a walk on a bed of thorns Shed a drop of blood  T hou shall be blessed with it, forever Thorns, sometimes hurt, sometimes don't It may tear your skin  or simply just touch and go But success will come to you either way. Strive for what you have been aiming for Look for your ambition Embrace your passion Walk along step by step Success will come to you either way. There will be a path, right or wrong; One can take you to the pinnacle The other can bring you down  Choose wisely for Success will come to you either way.

Keep Calm and Stay Positive- Day 16

The following poem has been inspired from just a mere phase of life: Calm, composing breeze brushes past Inhaled goodness, exhaled toxic thoughts Breathe of fresh air turns on the key to motivation

Keep calm and Stay Positive Day 15

The following poem has been inspired by love and relationships. Gazing straight into her eyes His tall figure overpowered her petite frame Long and passionate ,  it was, an eternal feeling

Keep Calm and Stay Positive - Day 14

The following poem has been inspired from the women, whom we come across almost everyday. When we travel in a bus or train or auto; While crossing a road, or having a coffee at a cafe; While strolling in the park or just observing the many women, whom we feel more beautiful/content/happier than us. Stroking the strand of hair beside her eyes, Her fingers searched for an answer Confused, They settled beside her red voluminous lips
